Wismann, Christin Soprano
Soprano Christin Wismann hails from Los Angeles, California. Recently, she was recognized a 2007 Metropolitan Opera National Council Eastern Regional finalist taking place in February 2007. Last year she was a finalist in the Western Regional Finals where she was the recipient of the special encouragement award. She was also named the first place winner of the 2006 National Opera Association scholarship competition in Ann Arbor, Michigan as well as being named one of the five discovery artists to perform with the prestigious New West Symphony of Ventura County, California in 2006-2007.

Some of her operatic roles include Violetta in La Traviata, Eurydice (cover) in Orphee aux enfers, Sandrina in La Finta Giardiniera, Olympia in The Tales of Hoffman, Laetitia in The Old Maid and the Thief, Despina in Cosi fan Tutte, Nella in Gianni Schicci, and Angelina in Trial by Jury. In the past, she has cantered for The German United Methodist Church in Glendale, California and spent the summer of 2004 in Heidelberg, Germany with the Flora Thornton Opera Program performing in a production of opera scenes. During the summer of 2006 Christin joined the Aspen Opera Theater Center where she studied under Elizabeth Hynes. There she covered the role of Violetta in La Traviata and was given the honor of singing in David Zinnman's birthday celebration in the Benedict Music Tent.

Christin has a bachelors degree in music performance from Pepperdine University in Malibu, California and is currently attending The Juilliard School in New York City to obtain her Masters degree in Music. She is a student of Edith Bers.
